The Intelligent Systems Engineering Laboratory (ISEL) is a research group within the Faculty of Engineering, on the Magee campus of the University of Ulster, N. Ireland. ISEL embraces the topic of intelligent systems in the widest sense; the activities of the group encompass research into a range of intelligent and hybrid technologies, and include work on neural networks, fuzzy systems, genetic / evolutionary algorithms, hybrid intelligent systems, reasoning, multiple valued logic and model predictive control. ERNACT: Derry City and Donegal County Councils established ERNACT EEIG (European Economic Interest Grouping) in 1990 as a joint cross border subsidiary of both local authorities. Its objectives were to enable both council areas to co-operate on the theme of communications technology and the emerging information society. Since then ERNACT has evolved into a network of regions comprising the City of Aalborg (DK), South West Flanders (B), Province of Zeeland (NL), Metropolitan Borough of Wirral (UK) and City of Derry, County Donegal and County Galway (IRL). ICE Cube - Interactive Computer Entertainment Incubator - will encourage potential entrepreneurs with a background in games-specific software engineering to develop their business ideas within a fully supported high-tech environment.
