Wireless City Network Disruption
Essential Maintenance and Expansion Works
Users of the Wireless City Network may have noticed some disruption in the free Wireless City service provided by Council to allow the public to access the Internet using Wi-Fi . The Wireless City network is temporarily out of operation whilst essential maintenance works and new equipment are put in place. These works include;
- Replacement of equipment
- Relocation of equipment whilst the Guildhall refurbishment takes place
- Extension of the Wireless City network to include Ebrington Barracks
- New registration and user systems to comply with legal obligations
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. We are working to have the network in operation as soon as possible. Once works are completed the network will be faster and cover a wider geographical area. Derry City Council will keep users informed.
