| Wireless Council “To date
this effort has improved council’s effectiveness and efficiency
in the delivery of its internal services. But it will do much
more than that! It’s just a first step in the delivery of
our on-line e-government services to the citizen.” The Wireless Council strand has built on and developed existing e-government services. In practical terms this has involved the provision of a wireless network for the Council Offices on the Strand Road and the Council Chamber in the Guildhall. The network is used internally by Council for Committee Meetings, Council Meetings and Management Team Meetings, it is also used to showcase e-government applications to external delegations. |
